Sullivan Marching Band Festival Tomorrow

Information for the Sullivan Marching Band Festival Saturday September 23, 2023

From Canvas:

Be in the band room at 7:40. We leave with uniforms on.

Busses leave at 8 am. We will have the trailer.

We are in  the gold class with Potosi and St. Clair.

Parade starts at 9, step off is 9:25, clinic time is 11:05 (the clinic is only for students/directors).

Parade awards are at 1:30.

If you want to eat concessions, bring money. The boosters will be providing walking tacos after the parade. 

Your parents may pick you up AFTER AWARDS or you can ride the bus home. We should be home around 2:15.

For this parade, wear a black or white t-shirt under your uniform and take either your gold polo or black pep band shirt to wear for the remainder of the day.

$10 Adults $5 Students and Senior Citizens (60+)

Free for children 4 and under 2. Programs $3

Busses, support vehicles and handicapped vehicles are the only vehicles permitted on the Sullivan High School Campus. 

All parking locations will have shuttle busses running continuously.

There is also a grass lot just past  the church before Vine St. Trucks and SUV's should only try and use this space. 

Temple Baptist Church-444 Beeman St.

Concessions:

This year we will offer Pizza by the slice, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, brats and hotdogs, pulled pork, nachos, pretzels, popcorn, assorted chips, candy, soda and water. The concession stand is run by our wonderful ENCORE Music Boosters. This awesome group of parents works hard providing our music students with necessary equipment and materials. They are an amazing group of people!

Festival T-shirts will be available for purchase this year! 

New this year: Fan Favorite Spirit Award (Parade and Field Bands). Band supporters can stop by the "Fan Favorite Spirit Award table at the stadium and vote for their favorite band by dropping spare change (or dollars) into their favorite bands' collection jar. The band that collects the most money before the parade awards for parade bands and preliminary field awards for field bands will take home the Fan Favorite Spirit Award Trophy.

Air Grams will be sold for $2 each.
