Cuba Elementary had a fantastic turnout for their Grandparents Day event last Friday. We greatly appreciate families coming out to love and support their grandchildren. We saw lots of smiles and memories being made.

Friendly Reminder to Parents/Guardians of CCR2 Students,
Missouri Statute 168.133 states that the school district shall ensure that a criminal background check and fingerprinting is conducted for all screened volunteers, who shall complete the background check prior to being left alone with a student. All volunteers need a full criminal background/fingerprint check through the Missouri Highway Patrol. This law went into effect August 2019. The code you will use is 0546 to have the results shared with CCR2 central office administration. One official background check is good for all your parent volunteer activities within the district. These are good for one calendar year. You can register online through Identogo and use the district code. This will save time when you go in for your fingerprinting.

Last week the Crawford County R-2 Board of Education and Superintendent attended the Missouri School Boards’ Association (MSBA) South Central Regional meeting. They enjoyed an evening of learning from the MSBA presenter, and they were one of two schools with 100% board member participation in the region! MS 7th & 8th grade boy's basketball tryouts are September 16 and 17 in the elementary gym from 3:45 to 5:45 pm.
This is a reminder that any MS student who plans to attend the home football games must be accompanied by a parent. If you don't plan to attend, your child may go with another adult with a completed HS Admittance form. This form must be signed by both parents and administration by the end of the day on the day of the game. Your child will not be admitted into the game without it. These can be sent home with students or they can be emailed upon request. You will need to complete a new form for each home game. This has been announced over the intercom all week to students and the information was emailed to parents as well.
