Extra! Extra! Read All About It! CMS is holding our annual fall Title I meeting next week! Your child can get a free book from the CMS book fair if you attend. You have two different meeting date options. This is for middle school parents and students only. The meeting will only last about 30 minutes. Please read the flyer for more information!

Our Wildcat had a picture-perfect kind of day — striking poses, spreading smiles, and making School Picture Day a success! If your child missed Picture Day, no worries — retakes will be on November 4th!

There's still time to shop!
The Book Fair runs through Friday, September 26 and will also be open during our Block Party tomorrow, September 25 from 5–7 PM!
Come find your next great read!

Students in Earth Science conducted a Dr. Seuss Science Experiment last week. Students made Oobleck, a mixture that acts like a solid when force is applied and a liquid when it’s at rest. #wildcatlearning

We’re excited to offer the Care Closet, a free program designed to support students and families with essential items. The Care Closet provides:
Hygiene products (soap, toothpaste, shampoo, etc.)
Clothes and shoes
Feminine products
Other basic necessities
Students can even be set up to come into the Care Closet and pick out the items they need themselves, helping them get exactly what will help them feel comfortable and confident.
If you’d like us to send items home with your student, or have questions about the program, please contact me at mweber@ccr2.org or 573-677-2528, and we’ll be happy to help!
The Crawford County R-II School District offers a Friday Food Bag Program to help make sure students have access to kid-friendly, nutritious food over the weekend. Each bag is sent home with your child on Fridays (or the last day of the school week).
This program is completely confidential and available to any student whose family would like to participate.
If you’d like to sign your child up, please contact Melanie Weber, LMSW – School-Based Social Worker at mweber@ccr2.org or 573-677-2528.
No child should go hungry — let us help take care of the weekends.
