STATEMENT OF CRAWFORD COUNTY R-II SCHOOL DISTRICT
Dr. Scott Davidson, Superintendent of Schools
February 7, 2025
It has come to my attention that concerns regarding a former employee of the Crawford County R-2 School District have been posted on a social media outlet. The posting states that a teacher has engaged with several students by sending inappropriate photographs, having inappropriate conversations, and supplying alcohol and drugs. The post also states that nothing is being done about the concerns.
The District would like to address this concern. The person identified in the post was not employed as a teacher with the District. Rather the person was employed as a paraprofessional. This person is also no longer an employee of the District.
A concern regarding an employee’s interactions with a student was brought to the attention of the District earlier this semester. We notified authorities, including the Missouri Children’s Division and law enforcement, and began our own investigation. The District will continue to cooperate with the authorities.
The District cannot comment on or provide any further details regarding this matter at this time as student and personnel information is confidential under state and federal law.
Should any member of our community have a concern regarding the former employee’s interactions with children, we encourage you to contact our Title IX Coordinator, Dr. Siebert, at 573-885-2534.
We appreciate your cooperation as we work through this situation.

FBLA students kicked off their competitive season this week with the District Leadership Conference in Lebanon. Students put a lot of time and effort into preparing for their events, and got to enjoy a day of networking and observing students from surrounding districts as they competed in various events. Brate Hart placed 1st in Intro to Financial Math, qualifying him to compete in the state competition later this year!
FBLA students have been keeping busy over the past school year! We kicked off the year with Wildcat Pride Night and Silver Dollar City, followed soon after with Trunk or Treat, pumpkin painting, and Adopt a Family. Enjoy a photo blast of some of the fun members have had so far this school year!

Please join us in recognizing our School Counselor's this week. We want to celebrate the incredible work they do. Whether you're supporting students, families, or individuals, your work matters more than words can express. Thank you for being the listening ear, the guiding hand, and the unwavering support that so many need.

Reach out to Cuba Elementary office if we can help answer any questions! Prizes will start coming home this week.
Parents: If you are sending money to school with your child, especially on the bus, please remind your child to keep these envelopes in their backpack until they reach their classroom. As always, thank you for supporting CES! 🍫

At Cuba Elementary, we are blessed with motivated educators that provide students a quality education through multiple learning styles. Thank an educator. They're the real MVP's this Super Bowl week. 🏆

Great things going on with PAT (Parents as Teachers). Ms. Tiffini has been busy hosting play groups, preparing for kindergarten Expo/screening, and visiting homes. We appreciate all of the hard work and effort she is putting into this program. Building a strong foundation with our early childhood children one visit at a time.

Wildcats put on a show for the Pink out crowd last night. Fantastic performances by Girls and Boys basketball teams, the CHS choir, and the dance team!

We were honored to celebrate these Champions of the Court and a special shoutout to Maries County Bank for the donations to help with the costs of their journeys.
