6th Grade October Students of the Month:
Sapphire is a calming presence in the classroom. She is one of the most responsible and reliable students I have had in my classroom and is always willing to help others without being asked. She has a great sense of humor and has an unbeatable work ethic. In addition, she is creative, unique and confident in herself.
Garett is polite, responsible and respectful. He asks for help when he needs it and always seeks out his missed work when he is absent or struggling with a concept. He has a great personality and adds a positive vibe to the classroom. His manners are impeccable and he is an incredibly hard worker.

5th annual Black and Gold Game

FBLA students enjoyed going to the Fall Leadership Conference in Columbia this past weekend. They had a lot of fun interacting with other students and the State FBLA officer team as they participated in various leadership and team building activities. We were too busy to get many pictures. Members are looking forward to going again next year!
Members also had fun decorating for Trunk or Treat in a Jurassic Park theme and passing out candy. It was great seeing all the young and old students and community members, braving the cold, all decked out in their Halloween costumes!

Business Management students were getting into the Halloween spirit by creating a Graveyard of Failed Businesses. They worked together as a class creating all the elements and putting together a hall display for Halloween. It added a nice splash of color to the hallway!

Trunk or Treat was a huge success! Students had fun decorating the trunks and passing out candy to the littles and the bigs that braved the cold evening to attend!
Student Council members created a Charlie Brown display, complete with Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Linus, Lucy, Schroeder and even Schroeder's piano!

Students in Earth Science had a sweet time in a lab this week learning about the rock cycle using Starburst candy!
By cutting, pressing, melting and reshaping the candies, students modeled how igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks form and transform over time.
