Shelby Rybacki is the December 2023 Student of the Month chosen by Special Area for consistently working hard, helping others with sewing, and cleaning up areas around her without being asked. Thank you Shelby for all you do!
CMS Volleyball is right around the corner!
Congratulations to these students for earning the most AR points in their grade levels: Allison Williams (5), Erin Pogue (8), Vivien Cremer (6), Cash Gilliam (7) and Clint Carroll (6)..
Mrs. Haist's classes sewed 9 Patch and letter pillows. Such a wonderful variety of patterns.
Mrs. Callahan's Multimedia class created Theme Parks and her Desktop & Graphics class created mini Magazines.
6th Grade Students of the Month-December
Gabby is always respectful, responsible and helpful. Gabby keeps up with all her work and sets a positive example for others around her in each hour. Teachers agree that Gabby is a pure delight to have in class daily. Thank you for being such a role model in our classes, Gabby!
Xander is always respectful and sweet. Xander works hard and always has a positive attitude. Teachers all agree that Xander is enjoyable to be around and gets along with everyone. Thank you for being such a positive kid in our classes, Xander!
Last Friday, the Middle School Drama Club performed The Merrie Christmas Show for the elementary and middle school. The play was a collection of Christmas stories from around the world. This was the first production for some of our actors and they did a great job!
November students of the month for 5th grade are Elsie Rutz and Hayden Mason.
Elsie is a sweet, caring individual who is always willing to help others. She listens to her teachers, turns her homework in on time, and is always following the three R's.
Hayden is always willing to help his classmates, works well with others, and gets along with everybody. Everybody loves Hayden's jokes and school spirit!

Builders Club had 31 students in attendance for their Christmas Party. Everyone had a blast playing games, exchanging gifts, eating, and visiting with their friends. Thank you to all the parents who brought in snacks and drinks and allowed your students to participate. You are greatly appreciated. Here are just a couple of pictures to show the excitement.

On Dec. 15, the middle school drama club performed its first Christmas play, The Merrie Christmas Show, for the elementary and middle school. It was a collection of different Christmas stories from around the world. The actors worked very hard and did a great job!
Cuba Middle School honored our Veterans on November 8, 2023, with a luncheon in the Library. We had eight Veterans attend to speak to the students. Thank you to all Veterans for serving our Country.
Special Area Student of the Month for November is Prudence Dotson. Prudence presents with a great attitude, works hard, and helps out if needed. Prudence takes the initiative to complete projects and is a terrific leader.
Robotics learned to build a robot (Hopper) and program them to race. They are still working on programming direction and determining which code and legs work best. Gavin loves to volunteer and assist as he has been in Robotics since 5th grade.
6th Grade November Student of the Month-
Zoie Wilson- Zoie has impressed her teachers with her hard work ethic and sweet, quiet demeanor. She is reliable and can be counted upon to help others. Other students point out that she is fun to be around and she is nice to everyone.
Ryan Ray: Ryan readily follows directions and gets all his work done. He catches onto the concepts we are learning quickly and always has a positive mindset. Ryan has a constant smile and spreads it wherever he goes.
The Crawford County R-II School District encourages qualified persons
interested in running for a position on the School Board to file to be a
candidate in the April 2, 2024 election. There are two (2) positions
available, each with three-year terms. Qualified candidates will be placed
on the ballot in the order of filing. Filing will begin on Tuesday, December
5, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. and will end on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at
5:00 p.m. Candidates may file between those dates during the normal
work hours on Tuesday through Friday of each week from 8:00 a.m.
through 4:00 p.m.
Please note on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 filings will be accepted by
appointment earlier in the day if needed by emailing: ajenkins@ccr2.org
The office will also be open 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. for filing.
Per the Declaratory Judgement ordered by Hon. Judge Megan K. Seay on
December 5, 2023, the Crawford County R-II School District will accept
filings on Wednesday, December 27 by appointment if needed by
emailing: ajenkins@ccr2.org The office will be open 8:00-11:00 a.m. and
3:00-5:00 p.m. for filing.
The district will not accept filings on:
Monday, December 11 and Monday, December 18 (closed on Mondays),
December 22 and December 25 when the school will be closed for
Christmas break, nor any day(s) school is closed due to inclement
weather, or any other unforeseen circumstances. If there is inclement
weather on the day filing begins or ends, we will put forth effort to have
the office open, unless conditions make it unsafe for school staff to
travel.
Interested patrons who desire to be a candidate for the Crawford County
R-II Board of Education need to file a Declaration of Candidacy with the
Secretary of the Board of Education at the Office of the Superintendent.

Builders Club Announcement
Builders Club Christmas meeting will be held on Thursday, December 14th from 3:40-5 pm. Please bring a $5 gift and label it with "Male, Female, or Either". Parents, please supply snacks. Parents, please pick your students up promptly at 5 pm.
